It's a small running world

I was just looking back at a post I wrote about the 2007 Yankee Doodle Dash, and was surprised to recognize someone in a picture* that I didn't know then but do now! In my old post I identified her as the first place winner in her age group at the time; now I know her as Mary, the woman (okay, one of two women) who beat me in the River and Rails 10K a few weeks ago! (I had hoped to see her at the 10K on Saturday—race report coming soon—but although I may have spotted her in the crowd, did not make contact. I'll have to check the results to see if she was there. And yes, check whether I may finally have achieved a faster time than her.)
